Woodruff keys in wide front on M, slot is worn.

I have been working on my 49 M, getting it ready to cut hay with. It has a wide front end and the wheel assembly that has the spindle on it has Woodruff (half moon) keys that attach the steering arm. The slots for the keys are worn some and a 1/4 inch key is sloppy in it. This allows the steering arm to move on it. What is a solution to fixing this, recutting the slot wider for a thicker key or ?
