Farmall H Pto Please Help!!!!

I have a 1941 Farmall H, I'm in need of a dog type pto female coupler that fits on the pto shift shaft. This runs inside the rearend housing,and couples to the male coupler on the lower transmission shaft. I have the newer spline pto out of a 1947 H with the bigger pto shaft.Would this newer spline type work with the same lower transmission shaft,or would I have to replace the lower transmission shaft also? Thank-You !!
