Bob, thanks for the advise. I'm not sure why the coating peeled off my float. I bought it about 3 years ago. Maybe the coating was different then. Otherwise it seems to work after I clean it up. I have a lot of rust flakes in the bottom of the tank that I think are plugging up the strainer inlet. When I took the carb off last, I couldn't get the fuel valve to totally shut off, so there's probably a piece of debris in the valve. I cured this problem on my A and M by attaching a screen cylinder to the inlet where it goes into the tank. I made a screen to go around the raised tube, drilled a hole thru the tube, and wired the screen onto it. I'm going to try this on the 10-20 too, assuming that the inlet of the strainer sticks up above the bottom of the tank like the ones on the A & M. My 10-20 is a 1929, and had 2 stuck pistons when I bought it. When I first got it running three years ago, it wanted to kill when I would let out the clutch. Last year I had it running pretty good, so it must have been the carb adjustments.
