I'm sure there are pros and cons to both types of filters. Keep in mind that when these old tractors were built we didn't have the technology to make paper filters as efficient as they make them today. Also the size of the oil bath would be monsterous on the new tractors. My C with 113 cu in would use 180,000 cu. in of air per minute at 1600 rpm. A 436 cu in engine at 2600 rpm would use 1, 133,500 cu. in of air per minute or 6.3 times as much air. It would take quite a large oil bath to handle this. Just something to think about.
