The serial number is directly below or directly above number one cylinder, on the machined boss. They are interchangeable, but you'll need to make a plate to cover the area where the hydraulic pump was. Inspect the block closely behind the carburator. This is the water jacket area, and the most likely place the block would crack if frozen. If block needs to be rebuilt, this is a good time to put 3 1/8 pistons and sleeves in it to make it 123 Cu. In.
