Gene B, First of all, let me say that I understand hydraulics about like I do brain surgery. And, I am not a doctor. I don’t want to offend you or anyone else here, but, I do think that Haas is right on this one. When the touch control system equalizes position, the hydraulic system dumps oil to tank via an internal relief valve, thus the engine unloads right? When it is moving the relief valve sends all the oil to the arms. The factory auxiliary valve shuttles oil ahead of this relief valve to the rear of the tractor. I think you have to cut into this line and have an open center valve for this to work. You must take oil from the pump and direct it on the high side of the relief. If you take oil from the relief side, there cannot be much pressure there. That is why the engine unloads. The pump is a gear pump and maintains the same volume all the time. The pressure however, does change. If the pump were a variable displacement piston pump, a relief valve would not be needed internally and your theory would work. I am not sure what you have seen or done to make this work. But, it doesn’t seem possible. I have never seen the way you described it. I have seen the pressure line cut and the open center used several times.

He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana.
