Rear Light Switch- Super A

Since mine doesnt work , i took it off and took it to a local electronics shop and he said that the switch was bad. i cant even get it to turn. since i have not seen one work, can someone tell me how many clicks the switch has? i know the switch inside has 3 wires running to it but what do they do as far as the jewel and bulb? i bought a switch at the TSC store to try and fix it, and it has 3 poles on it, one for accessory 1, one for the power, and one for accessory 2. will this switch be adequate to fix my light?
