Jim: I just use blocking and tie downs on top of a good hardwood pallet. With use of pallet jack, I can roll it apart and back together. I have even taken the entire front end (engine, rad, front bolster, front axle and wheels) of a 560D across the shop floor out of way. Went back with jack and another pallet for the torque tube. I have even moved entire rear section of an articulated unit this way complete with wheels. The floor has to be clean and smooth. You can buy good pallet jack for $200. and uses are endless. I have offset Farmalls with center mount cultivators. I have a wide variety of attachments and ground working tools for these. I store all these on pallets. Makes for fast work when changing attachments. Most of my implement now are quite small, I often store items like 2 furrow plow, 5ft disc, etc. on pallets. Just great for putting items out of way in a hurry.
