Steve, The fast hitch was IHC's version of a quick hitch for mounting rear implements. On the larger Farmall tractors it had two sockets or receivers which received the prongs which were mounted on the implement to be attached. On the Cub and the later versions of the A, such as the 140, (the fast hitch was not invented at the time of the A), the hitch consisted of a single socket or receiver which accepted a single prong which was mounted on the implement. The hitch was raised and lowered hydraulicly. I know this description is probably clear as mud to you, but I would suggest you look at some different Farmall pictures and you will be able to get an idea of what it is. On the gallery pictures of Farmalls from the rear angle the tractors should either have a standard drawbar, a three point hitch, or a fast hitch. Hope this helps you a little. Harold H
