Bob: If that 230 has been idle for some time in past, and parked with little fuel in tank. Inside of tank gets a flaky rust on it. You start to use tractor and movement of gas in tank washes this rust all down. I have seen that rust completely block inlet to bowl. If this be case best to take tank off and clean. You can just take bowl out and clean stem. This will happen about 4 times and problem will go away. There are sealers to put in tank to stop the rusting. I have never used them, some guys on YT forums have.
