I agree with previous re-posts. Let it run longer. The smoke should lesson the longer it runs but will require more running time. It may smoke a little even after the tractor is warmed up to the normal operating tempature. If it is still smoking blue smoke after say 20 to 30 minutes of running and it is staying thick and not lessoning then chances are something is wrong. Just watch temp and oil pressure guages while you are running the rebuilt engine in. You did the right thing by pre-lubing with oil when assembling engine. When rebuilding an engine in the future, as said before make certain the ring gaps are 180 degrees off set. You may also want to actually measure those cylinders to see how much they are worn. Cylinders can wear to a point where new rings won't do much good. You will have to refer to a repair manuel to see the rejected tolerances for cylinders.
