Blue smoke after engine work....

Just finished replacing the O-rings and piston rings in my 1946 Farmall A.
Sleeves were not replaced, but were honed.
Original pistons were re-installed with new rings pickled pretty good in oil.
When I started her up, she smoked blue as expected, but after running for about 4 minutes, she still smokes heavily. I expected the smoke to disappear after about 2 minutes. Could it be that the new piston rings may take longer than I expect to seat properly in the honed sleeves? Could it be that the pickled oil in the ring slots is still burning off? Or did I do something wrong.
Any thoughts???
