When I was farming with my Dad in the Yellowstone Valley on the Montana-North Dakota border area, we had single, double, and wide fronts for our H's depending on the situation. The single was easier steering and needed for row crops like sugar beets. Worked great for mowing also. The double tire front would carry more weight and was used when working with the loader. The wide front was sometimes used in harvesting or when wet conditions prevailed. So take your pick; they all work just fine.
