thanks for the input, i guess i should have been more specific, this tractor sat for many years 6-7 before an engine overhaul, i bought it in that condition. i hooked it to my new holland 9 ft haybine (one hose) it raised it beatifully, but would not let it down. it is in the tractor, because this same arrangement works fine with my other tractor. no, i pushed the lever all the way forward, and tried all positions. finally had to loosen a fitting and bleed fluid out to disconnect. does it matter which hyd. port you use on the tractor? it has three. i put a hose and quick connect on two of them, it behaved the same with both. got any ideas? you guys are the experts, enlighten me
