Some 20 years ago an 11 year old Iowa boy was honored as a hero when he killed a sow who had gotten the boys father down and was killing him. The kid used a pitch fork to dispatch the 350# animal, drug his father out of the pen, ran to call for help and then returned to help with first aid. The Dad survived and was very proud. Old farmers used to say livestock is domestic not tame. Dick
