What I use is a pallet jack. On small tractors I just use a wooden pallet and blocking with tie downs. I have gone as large as 560 with that. For larger tractors I think I would gear up a steel pallet. The beauty of the pallet jack and pallets is your jack is not tied up, you can have several items on thego at once. There is no question pallet jack would carry the whole front of 100+hp tractor. I have rolled the front axle, rad and engine away, set it down and with another pallet gone back for the torque tube. Works great for removing rear wheels and keeping in standing position.
