One easy way to tell if tractor has Super M type brakes is by looking at housing early M disc brake housing is solid Super M housing has about 2 in. plug in center. Ms fron serial no. 294226 on had Super M type brakes this would not include 1947 model. There seems to be disagreement on M disc brakes some say they were factory installed some say they were factory approved for dealer installation. Eiher way they show in IH parts book.
