Farmall M add ons

I have a 47 farmall M. The tractor has an M&W governer and disk brakes. Does anyone know any information on the governer and how much extra power its supposed to give? Also i know disk brakes were not available on regular M's, but could they be added on, could they be bought as aftermarket equipment, or do you have to swap the whole rearend. There is also they possibility the tractor has a SM rearend. Thanks for any information that can be provided...
