If your H's were made late in 1941 or early 1942, they probably didn't stop using the rubber knob yet because of the war and pearl harbor. My dad bought a new H, and it was delivered on D-day 1944. It had a steel knob. I located this tractor and thought about trying to buy it for restoration. I never saw such a beat up mess in my life, It made me sick when I saw how these people had treated it, but it was still going, barely. They had thrown away all the tin and oil or grease was running out every possible place on it.
