Have a 300 that was sitting outside with a coffee can over the exhaust for 7 or 8 years from my late uncles farm. Tried to crank it by hand and It would not turn. Went to the store a bought a gallon of Liquid Wrench and filled the cylinders. After sitting for a week I tried it again and it turned. Changed oil, added gas and battery and It ran.
I recommend you change fluids in the transmission, differential and hydrulics right away. They seem to be the most negleted and the cause of most the problems I've encountered in all the junk I've dragged home. I once hauled one home, backed it off the trailer and headed for the garage. After driving It 75 feet the rear end locked up. Checked the transmission fluid and found it empty. Brought home a M today, Pulled the drain plugs on the transmission and found ice. Got the heater on it now and thought I do some surfing while it thaws.
