If your pump is like mine on my SC, you have to open the pump and press down the retaining washer on the drive gear nut on the front of the pump and remove the nut. Remove the drive gear from the pump shaft and the seal is in the forward pump housing behind the drive gear(the pump shaft runs through it). Hope this helps. I went through this two weeks ago and everything is fine now.
