Sounds like you had a really super day. This is good information as I will spilt my tractor as soon as I have the parts to do the repairs with. It is also interesting that you had such good luck with the ring gear and that is just aonther piece of information that I will file away for possible use later. Bob

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
