Thought it would take most of the week. First time I ever broke one in half. Great experience. The most amazing thing to me was how, after heating the new ring gear to 500 degrees in the oven, it just fell right into place on the flywheel. I had all kinds of tools ready to beat it into submission, but none needed. Hope it holds when the starter motor hits it! I think I am finally in forward gear with the rebuild now.
