I changed the fluids in my 1950 C a couple of years ago right after I bought it. I too got a good oil bath. Boy was I surprised. Harold Hubbard's suggestion of loosening the fill plug and waiting is an excellent one. Mine now has a reservoir tank on it for raising a hoist on a wagon. Took care of that problem.
