Super A Carburator help

Sorry guys I need more help with my carb. on my 1949 Super A. It is a Zenith with no high speed needle, just an idle needle. I rebuilt it replaced every part on it. When I took out the original idle needle it was set a 1-1/4 turns out so thats what I set the new one at. Now my throttle lever has no effect on engine rpm from half throttle to idle. I tried adjusting the idle needle both ways up to one full turn, it had no effect. I set the idle stop screw so that it idles as low as it can without stalling. High rpm sounds great I really don't think I want to adjust the linkage. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
