Your dealer should have the carb gasket as a separate item. Bought one for my '44 H just a couple of weeks ago from my dealer. If I remember right, they are the same for both types of carbs. Also get the gasket that goes between the carb & intake-when these leak, they can cause the problems you describe. They are available separately, too. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
