Charlie, ---- 2 / Oct. / 2002 ---- The "M" and "BM" were made from 1949 to 1954. The "BMD" were made in 1952 and 1953. The "Super BMD" was made from 1953 to 1959. The "BD 450" was made from 1958 to 1970. The "B 450 Farmall" was made from 1959 to 1970. 1. Your Engine/Motor number: 700677 R1 / this a parts number and if someone would have CROSS - REFERANCE Parts Catalog -- we could check and see if this engine was used in any other tractors, crawlers, or combines. And find out what size engine it is. 2. Also, every motor that IH made - there is a SERIAL NUMBER - a raised Smooth area (1/4 inch), 3/4 inch wide by 2 1/2 long, that has a machined stamp SERIAL NUMBER on it (may also have PREFIX LETTERS). The grease and paint would have to be removed to see this number. Try to get this number (and PREFIX LETTERS). 3. Between number 1. and number 2., someone should be able to figure out something on this tractor. Regards, Milton
