My dad used railroad spikes in drawbars of W4, H and 300. He got started doing that when he broke the head off the bent bolt. Walked to his farm railway crossing BINGO a railway spike. It got him going. Next day I saw him flag down the railway section foreman. By evening tractors all had railway spikes. The shape of the spike head and the square shaft of spike worked well on roller type drawbar on H and 300.
