Don't know as there was a factory method, for either the plain drawbar or the swinging variety. Parts book doesn't list anything. Some folks might've started with bolts of one description or another. Often as not, any old bolt would do, but the preference was one that had been bent so as to be no good for another purpose. Lacking a bent bolt, next best (or better, depending on your perspective) was the post half of a gate hinge -- resembles a lag bolt with a right angle in it. Other than improvisation, there's always the standard hitch pin. Apologies, I'm suffering a little wise-acre streak tonight but, honestly, I don't think there was a factory part for this. Folks justs used whatever was handy.
