You may have a bad oil ring on #2. Still have compression but too much oil. Does it fire good when first started with a new plug? Is it wet with oil? If so it is probably an oil ring. A bad cam lobe is real rare and likely would not cause a miss at idle. I assume you have timed the ignition per the book. A miss on one cylinder does not give a significant lack of power if the timing is right.
