Your money, spend it as you please. This from a guy that has a 1066 that I use to mow and dig post holes with. I have an 8'BushHog mower and don't have any trouble mowing anything I can get to go under the deck. I will admit that I bought a BushHog post hole digger equipped with a slip clutch as the thought of buying shear pins in bulk didn't appeal to me. I'd concentrate on the condition of the machine. You can always up grade the equipment you have to match the tractor. I was looking at a 966 but it got sold before I could get my money together. The seller directed me to a 1066. I liked the 1066 though it is way too big for my operation. It was cheaper that a newer green machine about half its size. My son will be using it when I'm dead and gone as I'll never wear it out. Good luck. Rich
