The BEST brand of oil for the engine would be Lo-Ash oil sold by C-IH. Use a 30W for the engine.

The hydraulic system uses Hy-Tran hydraulic oil. This is sold by C-IH also.

Do NOT use non detergent oils in the engine. They allow dirt and sludge to accumulate in the engine causing wear. Back in the 40's non detergent was all that was made. Times and oil technologies have changed now.......
