I had a similar problem with my 34 F-20. Though this one had spent much of it's life under a 2M picker and had sat for the past 25 years, all the governor/carb linkage was worn badly. I replaced pins and fittings - basically getting rid of the sloppy movement in the governor/carb linkage. It worked wonders with full control restored. Now if I could just figure out why she wants to run rich at idle I'd have it down pat.
