The government cut way back on material allocations for the farm equipment industry for the 1943 season- too far as it turned out. IH discontinued the small line of tractors at Chicago Tractor Works for that time period, since the materials were better used on larger tractors for food production, and Chicago Tractor Works was going big time making crawlers for the military and others. You had T-9s and T-6s on the same assembly lines as As and Bs, might have even had -14s and -18s on that line as well. The government bumped back the allocations in 1944.
