350 Rear (Steel) Hydraulic Lines

On our 350 Farmall Gas restoration project, ran into a problem as we noticed the twin steel hydraulic lines (they wind around the battery box)have rusted through--and are leaking fluid. I did not yet tear apart the area where these connect into (if anyone can comment on how they connect, that would be great as well), but was just wondering if the steel lines could be replaced with standard hydraulic hoses as opposed to trying to hunt down a used set of steel replacement lines? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
