Ty you will enjoy the M. They are good old tractors.

On the gas tank. There is a baffle in the middle of the tank, so the chain will not do you much good. A good radiator shop and boil and seal the tank.

On the transmission, you will have to pull the top. You either have a bent shift fork not letting 5th. fully engage or 5th. gear teeth are worn.
