Farmall 300 ???

I have some questions for any one who can help with information. Some one has switched over the generator to an altenator. I see in the IT repair book that there were both 6 and 12 volt units. Is there any way I can tell whether or not it one or the other. I would like to redo this tractor to as oem as possible.
Also I need to rewire this tractor and need a harness. Is there anyone who makes them? If so where would I find them?
I would like to get the steering wheel redone also. Where would I find a good place to get it done?
