Thanks to Old Iron, Steven, Jal-SD, The Red, Farmer Mike, Andy Martin, williamf for your input. Now, you really have me messed up. My "H" does not have but one tank and no extra hole in the hood. Maybe I don't know how to read the SN list I got off the internet. My SN is 48700. The list says the 1939 SN was 501, the 1940 SN was 10653, and the 1941 SN was 52387. If the 1939 started with 501 and went to 10652, then 1940 started with 10654 and went to 52386. BUT, if 1939 started with 1 and went to 501, then 1940 started with 502 and went to 19653, then 1941 started with 19654 and went to 52387. So maybe I have a 1940 or maybe I have a 1941. Can you help with this? And if I have a 1941, maybe it didn't have the extra tank. Or, maybe someone has changed it over. Thanks for your help. Wayne

We needed a TRACTOR; not a riding mower or tractor wannabe, but a real TRACTOR. The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel.
