cub stalls on hills

I have a cub that has recently developed a nasty habit of stalling on hills. This is a real problem for me since my entire yard is hilly. I cleaned the crud out of the sediment bowl and screen inlet at the carb, as well as replaced an in-line fuel filter. The filter is the same as the one I was using before this business stared. For two years the cub would run fine on hills, but now is just not cooperating. The only thing that will help me stop the tractor from stalling is to work the choke back and forth. Could someone please offer me some advice on finding a solution to this problem? Like I said, everything was ok for two years, now things seem to have changed on their own. Thank you!
