Curt I've never owned a Hydrostatic tractor, but I've driven plenty of Headers(Combines) with Hydro drive, and pulling heavy loads is not something that type of transmission enjoys. All the torque is transmitted by high pressure oil, and the friction at high loads will "cook" the oil in short time and cause all sorts of expensive problems. Perfect tractor for PTO or loader work where the infinitally varible speed and quick forward -reverse are schmick. Regards, Redfan.
