Taking off Farmall A Crank Pulley

Hey guys...well Im almost done restoring my A but I need to take off the crank pulley...I need to get at the front timing cover to replace the gasket...plus the crank is missing one of those little things that stick out for the hand crank(we broke it off by accident)...so my question is how exactly do we get this off...we have a puller that we borrowed and probaly we will need to heat it with the torches and just pull or what?...Thanks for the info
