Pulling an Old Plow in a Parade

Now that I've restored my 1930's Little Genius #8 Plow, I plan to pull it in local parades with my restored Super C. The plow has metal spoked wheels with rubber tires, but the tailwheel is all metal.

My question is has anyone ever done this or come up with a way to keep the tailwheel off the pavement?
