Should draw to your attention, IH and Oliver were not the only ones to build offset tractors of this size. Ford built one for a time. John Deere had one as recently as 15 years ago, I saw a new one in dealers yard. I have also been told Kubota had one, although I have never seen it. From the offset tractors I have seen only John Deere came close to building the agile little tractor the Farmalls were. Both Ford and Oliver had much larger engines, in the 150 cu in range. They were also heavier through the torque tube and transmission thus the visability for row crop work is not as good as Farmalls. John Deere came close, but I imagion as others said market was drying up in the 1980s.
