If there's a thermostat there, it will be in the top end of the upper manifold, at the lower end of the upper hose. From your description of the other work you've done on the system, I'd say that is the first best thing to check. Is your radiator staying relatively cool, especially from the middle up? when the tractor is hot enough fro the thermostat to have opened, can you see the coolant flow? If not, that would be a good sign of a stuck thermostat, if there's no other blockage. The fact that you're losing the coolant out the top suggests that you are boiling over but not radically. Its the expansion from boiling that pushes it out. UNLESS . . . you say it drops about two inches. What are you calling full? The correct level for everything to function is about 2" below the top of the filler neck. If you filled it to near the top to start with and then got everything good and hot, the normal expansion of the coolant would force out enough that when it cooled it would fall back down by an inch or two. If that's the case, all you need is a new pressure cap to keep things where they are. Keep us posted and let us know how you're making out. Scotty
