Cleaning of M fuel tank

Forgot to ask in the last post about cleaning the fuel tank on my "M". It has a 1/8 inch layer of loose crud in the bottom & a friend of mine suggested pressure-washing it out. Is this an acceptable method? I've done so on my Deere tanks several times, but it looks like the "M" tank has a baffle that could prevent a guy from getting everything out. What are your 'low-cost & low-effort' thoughts. I know of a graveyard not too far from here where I could search for another if need be. Thanks!
