Hi Andy - If I understand right you correctly, it charges you have a jumper between the generator "F" terminal and ground? If so either there's a break in the wire connecting the generator and regulator "F" terminals, OR you have a defective regulator.

Not certain what the deal is with the jumper around the fuse in the ammeter box. Have you tried replacing the fuse to see what happens??
