You can buy them new for about $180 aftermarket. You can also try to weld it, but castings are not that easy. I have a 300 with a front axle whose spindles were welded up...they seem to be holding up okay.

I think you problem sounds like a worn spindle control arm- either the key or the splines are shot(depending on what type of front axle you have).
