It depends on what type of pto you have on your model. They put three different ptos in them. The early ones where like the 00-50 series. They had a brake to stop them. The over-center type are usually the one's that creep. The cause is mostly gunk built up in the bottom of the pto housing, making it drag. I would drain the oil out of it and that should take care of it. If you have a fast hitch on it, it can be quite a job. There are two plugs on the left side. Take out the bottom to drain.
