I have a set of frame rails for an H that did break right where the rail attaches to the cast piece that bolts to the bell housing. I was told these broke there because the early H's had rubber motor mounts and caused fatigue cracks there. The later H's had solid steel engine mounts to prevent this.
Now I'm not sure that the M's ever had rubber engine mounts or not.
