The Athens plow company made many disc plows, and even labeled them for sale by Allis Chalmers.

Depending on the size of the discs, the unit could weigh up to 5930 lbs. They are called Disc Plows, bush plows and bog plows. Used extensively in the Southeast because they were better than using moldboard plows for clearing land with rocks and roots.

The unit could be as old as the 30's or even older. I have a couple pic I could post, if it would help.
